Introduction
Our second Equity Unleashed brought out employers and young adults to have a deeper dialogue on apprenticeships in the region. Equitable apprenticeship development requires an open review of what is possible within your organization and our young adult panel solidified this key point.
Courtney’s story provides greater clarity:
While the young adult panel provided an overview on what it takes to build an apprenticeship, Shameron (a recent LeadersUp Google Certification alumni) made it clear that these types of programs change lives.
"Being an apprentice made me a more vocal and confident person [...] I used to be shy about my ideas and my experiences because I thought they weren’t good enough, but through apprenticeship I learned a lot of soft skills to help me change my life."
