Welcome back to my third week of interning at LeadersUp! Monday kicked off with my usual check-in, setting the tone for the week with a clear outline of tasks and goals. While my day was mostly focused on advancing projects, the Standing Stakeholder Engagement Meeting that followed was particularly beneficial, providing insights into current project statuses and upcoming deadlines. During these meetings, I learned about the projects that each team member is working on and found where I can support them. The day ended with a check-out session where we reviewed our progress and discussed any immediate concerns.

Tuesday was highlighted by a meeting with MaryKim, focused on strategically planning content for June. During this meeting, I truly got a sense of learning the concept of the Creative Economy which is essentially the hub for artists and creatives. The keywords that come to mind when I think of the creative economy are entrepreneurship, creatives, and buyers. Before joining LeadersUp, this term was foreign to me as a college student. However, after reading an article shared by MaryKim titled "Otis College Report On The Creative Economy," published by Otis.Edu, I was able to gain a clearer understanding of the concept and see how it relates to the work that LeadersUp does.

On Wednesday, I presented the resources that I found regarding web scraping. Web Scraping is an automotive process of streamlining and collecting data from a website. The goal is to be able to use this application to filter and search various pre/apprenticeships within the state of California. The Insights Research and Evaluation x Stakeholder Engagement Meeting provided a real-time experience for cross-functional collaboration in the workplace.

Last on our agenda for the day was a website audit conducted with MaryKim and JR. During this meeting, we discussed pages to be prioritized and that needed an update to reflect the breadth of work across LeadersUp business portfolios. I was tasked with creating mockups for website changes using the platform Figma. Our goal is for visitors to have a clear idea of who LeadersUp is, what we do, our why or purpose, and how we do our work as a first in-service and world-class intermediary.

Thursday was a mix of presentations and leadership activities. It started with presenting website changes to Jeffery, President and CEO of LeadersUp and JR, which were well-received and laid the groundwork for future enhancements. The Leading @LeadersUp session was valuable because I learned that my particular learning style is a mix of visual and written. The last agenda item for the day included an Equity Unleashed 1-4 debrief in which the entire team met to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the event Series.
From technical audits to creative discussions, the diverse activities this week highlighted the variety of my work as an intern. As I move forward in the remaining weeks, I am excited to continue connecting with my fellow team members. Here's to another productive week ahead!
